Who are we?
We are Matt and Dani Smith, a Christ-centered, energetic couple that has a heart for students. Our passion also extends to parents and youth workers, and we are excited to minister to your group so that they may experience the fullness of life in Christ.
Matt Smith is a young, energetic youth speaker with a passion for others to know and experience the life in Christ that he has found. Matt grew up in Temple, TX and graduated from Baylor University in 2002 with a BA in Speech Communication. He finished one full year at Truett Seminary before he began as Minister to Students at First Baptist Church of Temple. Matt served as Youth Minister at FBC Temple for three and a half years before God called him to start LIFe Ministries.
Matt met his wife Dani while at Baylor and they married in June of 2001. They welcomed the birth of their first daughter, Ania, in 2003, their second daughter, Sophie, in 2005, and their third daughter, Lila, in 2007.
Dani grew up in West Linn, OR and graduated from Baylor University in 2001 with a B.S. in Education. She taught 3rd grade for two years in Waco before the arrival of their first daughter. While Matt was a youth pastor, Dani led small groups for girls and was able to watch God begin transforming lives. She now stays home with their three daughters and also works with Matt in preparing curriculum for each event.
Matt does most of the conference/event speaking. If requested, Matt and Dani will lead a conference/event as a team.
Our objective is that students will understand who God is and who they are in Him, and our prayer is that as we share what God's Word teaches about their identity in Christ, they will be transformed by the renewing of their minds. (Romans 12:2)
