Youth Living In Freedom is founded and focused on Jesus Christ as The Source of life. In every study and every event, our desire is to lead students to discover and receive the reality of Christ as their Source for living life in every moment as God reveals Himself as sufficient for life. He not only lives in us, but desires to live through us in this world as well.
Identity Conference:
The most important factor of this conference is that the students learn that when Christ begins to live in them at salvation, He forever changes their identity. They are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17) and their life and identity is now defined by the fact that they are loved by Him, redeemed by Him, filled by Him, complete in Him, and made new in Him. We show them through Scripture that God reveals Himself as our complete source of life. Our hope is that students who hear this message will learn to depend on His life in them on a daily basis and find that all of their needs are met in Him.
As students move from knowledge to experience in their Christian walks, we are excited to introduce all students to the power of Scripture and show them how it is relevant to their lives.
Surrender Weekend:
This event is designed to show students the way we were created to live: surrendered to Christ in every moment. The material deals with the reality of suffering in the world and their need for Christ in order to point them to Christ as their Source for living life. They are challenged to do more than just go to church or get involved; they are challenged to choose to depend on Christ and surrender to His life in them every day, in every moment and every decision. The surrendered life allows believers to experience the full and abundant life that Christ gives.
Grace Retreat:
This retreat is designed to take students through various stories in the Scriptures and expose them to the incredible grace of God, not only for salvation but also for our day-to-day lives. The objective of this curriculum is to teach students about God's unceasing grace and how practical and real it is for us in every moment. God's grace changes everything and invites those who get a taste of it into a deeper desire for more in their relationship with God. As the students see how powerful God's grace is and how much it covers, they can experience the freedom to treat others with this same grace they have received.
Our prayer is that as these truths are revealed to your students, they will be transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2) and equipped to live out of their identity in Christ.
We would also like to share these truths of identity in Christ with parents and youth workers, so your students continue to hear the truth of who they are in Christ from other leaders in their lives. This will create a more significant and longer lasting impact on their lives and relationship with God.
